Exam in two days, can't study?
-OMG, I am so panicked i cannot even type properly. I have two days to study for a biology exam, and every time I sit down to study i can't process anything i read. i keep confusing myself & i've been at this for 2 hours now. i've tried writing things down, saying things out loud, but i immediately forget what i've read and i have to keep going back. I think it is a lack of motivation, i don't feel like i have to study but i KNOW I have to study. this situation is really shallow i know, but i don't know how to handle this. when i am motivated, i feel pressure. also i don't trust myself. how can i trust myself? i think trust is the other issue. even though i know it, i can't trust myself to tell myself i do know it. university will look at this mark and its already so low, please help me. i feel pathetic begging for help on a forum but desperate times ...
Studying in the usa..........?
-hi guys :)
first of all, sorry for my english, i'm not a native english speaker. i am an italian girl (i'm 16 years old) attending high school in italy. my dream is to study medicine in the usa to became a pathologist, i'd like to have some advices and information. does university there cost very much? which are the best university to study medicine at? thnx :)First of all if you come to America it would be a lot easier to become a permanent resident and then go for medicine in your state. But if you do not want to do that it will be harder to get into. If you plan to go into medicine it is easier to do a 6 year program.
And yes universities cost a lot and medical school is ridiculously expensive.
In America there are some great medical schools, but it is extremely hard to say which school is the best. I know idiots that say Harvard is the best for everything but that isn't the case. Harvard may be at the top for some list, but that is by peer evaluations and mcat scores. It doesnt mean anything.
ANY MEDICAL SCHOOL IN THE USA IS GOOD.
- Canada is harder to get into if you exclude the ivy league medical universities and it is a lot cheaper.Ya universities here are expensive but you could get financial aid and scholarships. Tufts is a good school for medicine but tough to get into. Collegeboard.com is a great resource for you. good luck
If you are good at studies than studying anywhere is not a tall order. You can apply for scholarships.U.S.A gives many schemes for deserving students.

How an english person would become a doctor in the USA?
-Hi I've just finished my GCSE's and I am thinking of studying Medicine at university. I was also thinking about living in America, so I would like to know if it is possible to study Medicine here in the UK and then travel to america and work over there. If it is, what additional studying would be required in the US? How long would the whole route take? Would it be harder to find a job in the US as a british applicant? Are there any disadvantages to working in the US as to working in the UK?
Thanksdont go to usa big mistake man. the docters get paid less. as amerca has been hit more with ecnomical crisis than uk.
That is such BS that doctors get paid less in the US. And you don't have do private practices with co-sharers, but you can make more that way. Most work in the hospitals first and THEN buy their own practices once they are at consultant level.
Let me put it in perspective for you:
A doctor in say, London, could be barely scraping by to afford a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with a small garden and no garage.
A doctor in most parts of the US can easily afford a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house, with a personal cinema and bar in the basement, and 2 giant gardens and 3 garages.
How do I know? Because I live back and forth between the countries and I have doctors in my family who also have lived in both.
That aside, I would advise you to complete Medicine in the UK and work there until you reach Consultant or Registrar level in NHS hospitals. If you don't and just work a few years in the UK, you will have to start at the bottom of the hospital food chain in the US as a trainee doctor, which would be insulting to your experience. They would immediately hire you at the higher levels and pay you appropriately. And plus, the entrance exam for the US is so incredibly hard that my fiance says that the consultants he works with could barely or didn't pass it because it is ridiculously difficult and irrelevant to being a good doctor.
Doctors live like kings here. I'm serious. The only con is that you need to put in a certain percentage of your income for Malpractice insurance (about 20-30%), which isn't too bad considering you would be paying 40-50% in taxes in the UK with your income anyway.

Where could I get free MBA education?
-I have a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and I am very enthusiast to study MBA business branch .Nowhere. The MBA is never free. Someone pays for it, even if you get a full scholarship. Explore the Official MBA Guide. It's a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria.
Nobody is going to give you a free qualification that you can use to improve your earnings ability, who would pay for that? If you want to learn finance cheaply, do the CFA in your spare time.

Intensive language program in Spain?
-Hi everyone,
I'm looking to go to Spain for about 4 months to take an intensive language course. I was originally looking at EF Tours in Barcelona (ef.com) but have read some reviews saying that Barcelona isn't the best place to learn Spanish because Catalan is mainly used in the city.
What cities do you think would be best to learn Spanish?
Has anyone had experience with EF Tours? Has anyone had experience with the Don Quijote language programs (http://www.donquijote.org/)? They have a much wider variety of locations in Spain when compared to EF.
Or do you know of any other intensive language programs that are good?
I've read such a mix of positive and negative reviews that I'm not sure what to believe. Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!In fact, in Barcelona is used more spanish than catal谩n. There's a lot of inmigration, most from latinamerica. I don't see the problem.
Edit: And if you tell people to talk to you in spanish, they will talk to you in spanish. We talk spanish as in the rest of Spain. I really, really, don't see the problem, we're just bilingual, just like canadians.
You might be interested in what the company I currently work for has to offer. Our school in Barcelona is arguably our most popular in Spain, and if you're in doubt, you can choose any of our other Spanish or Latin American locations!
Feel free to browse the link included below and see what we offer!
I hope I have helped!

American High School Student Looking to Study At English University?
-I am an American student studying at a private high school in southern California and i am looking to attend University in England. Of course i know about Cambridge and Oxford but those two are extremely hard to get into to. I am currently a junior and my gpa is 4.75 and i have taken 4 ap classes so far. I am looking to study Astrophysics or Physics and Astronomy. My question is what are other top British (Scotland and Wales included) that are easier to get accepted to and are more willing to take full time international students? (ex. UCL or University of Bristol) Any information would helpWell for 2012, the top universities in the United Kingdom at which to study physics and astronomy are Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, St. Andrews, Imperial College London, Lancaster, Birmingham and Bristol.
Competition for places there will be very tough, but a degree from one of those universities will help you an awful lot. If you don't like the look of any of those universities then you could also try places like Warwick, Exeter, Nottingham, Leeds, etc. Good luck.

-After highschool, me and a friend want to live in Spain for a year before college. Should i go for foreign mba or indian?
-i m currentlt doing my b.tech from IIT-Varanasi. I hear that its easier to get into harvard and wharton than in IIMs. Is it true?
I have a nook and i live in a foreign country?
-so i got the nook device thing as a gift and i live in a foreign country and I just learned you cant buy nook books outside of the US. so i'll be going to the us soon now and I wanted to know if I could just get some wi-fi access from a restaurant or hotel in the us and still be able to buy nook books from there. also i have the software hotspot shield and wanted to know if that will make any difference.I live internationally and I do it somewhat like that
You can buy the books online at Barnes & Noble, but you have to have a credit/debit card to put on your account to purchase the ebooks. And you also have to have a US address with the card, so luckily for you, you have relatives in the US where you can just say your address is. Then once you purchase the ebooks, you can transfer it to your Nook via USB.
Otherwise, you can't exactly go on the Barnes & Noble Ebook store it provides on the device itself, meaning you can't get books quick and easily, because you have to be in the US to do so. :/ I normally do it the way I just explained.

I got 1350 in GRE. Have International Research Papers and a GPA of 9.5. Which Universities should I apply?
-I m a student of B-Tech Final Year at VIT University Vellore. I scored 1350 in GRE with 770 in Quant and 580 in Verbal. I have international research publications and a GPA of 9.5. Which Universities should I target? Both in US and outside US...?if you have international publications then apply to all US universities, they are sure to accept you. plus you have a very good gpa. have no idea abt gre but with that kind of gpa you can surely get through.
btw what are those international publications?? coz i too plan to take my gre in the next 3 yrs so would be helpful if i knew what international publications are??You have international reasearch publications!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really?????
If you are in VIT, it means you are dumb or you are intelligent but never studied in class 12th.
So, whatever the case maybe, i dont think you are made for higher studies, you should get a job.
but i can understand with the degree of college like VIT its difficult to get job.
But the thing is how can a person from college like VIT have international publications???
Do you have int. publications on "drinking and smoking"??? hahaha

Medical School Admisisons?
-Hey All,
I am very concerned about medical school right now. I have a high GPA at my university 3.95, and during this summer, I took physics at my local university. I ended up having family emergencies and had to miss several classes. However, this occured past the withdrawal date, and I ended up doing badly. I got a C+ in the course. I am not finishing physics this summer, and I am planning on taking it at my home school. I will have the time to dedicate and should be able to do well. If I am able to get A's in the entire physics series, how bad will the C+/B- (it might be a B-: the final grades are not entered, and he said that he might bump them up based on participation) be that I have to enter into AAMCAS. I am not using the credit for anything. I am not sending a transcript back to my home school either.
Thanks!

UK vs US medical school?
-Hello, I'm a US rising senior in high school. I want to become a forensic pathologist, which means i have to complete med school and specialize which, in the US system, will take a long time. I was looking to go to school in the UK for many reasons (one of the most prominent being that the UK system is faster) and had a few questions about the differences and similarities between the two programs. If it helps narrow the comparison a little bit, I'm mainly focusing on Ivy leagues in the US and schools in England and Canada.
(don't feel obligated to address all 7 questions. even just one answer will help. i appreciate any information you can give)
1. How does the application process differ?
Do UK schools take into account the US student's disadvantage in preparation for the UKCAT and personal statement? Can i really only apply to 4 UK schools, or do i just have to pay a fee to apply to more than 4? What do UK schools like to see in an application?
2. how does the program itself differ?
I know that in the UK i wont have to go through Pre med, but is there anything else i should know about the program? if i have to take a foundation year(s?) will it end up taking just as long as a US program?
exactly how long will both programs take? (for example, in the US i need 4 years premed, 4 years med, ? years specializing...)
3. How does specializing work?
I have hardly any knowledge on this topic.
4. if i get accepted to a UK program where should i do my residency?
Would i be able to come back and practice medicine in the US after completing all my schooling and residencies in the UK? Which plan of action would be most beneficial, staying in the UK for a while or transferring back to the US at a certain point?
5. What are my chances of getting in?
I will have completed AP classes in biology, chemistry, physics, and calculus AB and BC, I have a 2170 on the SAT, a decently high GPA, and lots of clubs/sports including band, orchestra, National Honor Society, and swimming. is it enough? what else do they want to see?
6. in my one recommendation, should i ask the teacher to focus on one area or broadly discuss my achievements and suitability for the program? (my teachers are about as unsure as i am)
7. Lastly, are there any tips you can give me for applying to the UK? (besides having a back up plan ready)
I have prep books for the UKCAT/BMAT and personal statement, but i still feel a little lost and overwhelmed. is there anything else i can do to prepare? anything else i should know?
I'm sorry the post is so lengthy! Thank you for taking the time to help!

Thanks!

How to be a competitive medical school applicant?
-I'm currently a dual enrolled student with my high school and local community college and want to become a doctor (surgeon, actually). Unlike many people who do it for money (especially the money because now days, you can't do it for the money) or pride or some other motive, it's REALLY my passion. I love the science and medicine excites me. I will be going into my junior year this August and I already know I will be majoring in microbiology. I realize that even though it is early, the dual enrollment means I will graduate with an AA degree, so I will be cutting undergraduate school to two years instead of four. So to me, in need to prepare for medical school now. For all those who are currently in the system or are aspiring to be a doctor like me, what do I have to do to be a competitive applicant? What exactly should I do to make my application stand out and "wow" the application review board? Any suggestions for how I can begin preparing now would be helpfulOne thing med schools look for is to have relevant experience in the field, maybe some volunteer work at a hospital. Consider finding a surgeon in your area, and start emailing them. They can become your mentor and offer you advice on how to get your foot in the door.

Is Electrical +MBA good branch for girls I m confused pls help?
-Why not. There is no gender bias for ambition and learning. You can obtain Membership with the Institution of Engineers and load your profile on the net. While on the field experience is essential to some extent, you can opt for table job, involving design and other aspects of the work on projects.
You can try Government Departments/ Export Inspection AGency/SGS etc.
You can try Major construction companies, Consultants in Electrical Power Projects/ Industrial Consultants. and other MNCs.. You have also opening in Marine Sector/Oilfield Sector.
Do not worry about initial salary or compensation. Rise is imminent depending upon your ability and initiative. Best of luck.

Is Stouffville College in Canada real or fake?
-Dear Friends,
I found in google Stouffville College here is the web URL http://www.stouffvillecollege.ca/
I want to do ACCA program there and applying online, currently i live in United Arab Emirates.
I wanna know if someone has any idea about Stouffville College? Is this real or fake? Because I do not want to pay money to fake people on internet. Please if someone knows about Stouffville College then let me know. Grateful if you can give me some references as well just for my satisfaction.
Would be thankful,
Kindest Regards,
AliStouffville College has been issued a restraining order by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities ( http://www.tcu.gov.on.ca/pepg/audiences/pcc/letters/StouffvilleCollege_Restraining_ComplianceOrder2010.pdf )
They are not accredited, nor are they registered in Ontario as a private career college. They have been ordered by the provincial government to cease "charging fees to students for vocational programs without being registered."

Is internal sliding benificial by taking information tech.branch in mnit allhabad to get cse?
-my AIR in aieee is 8316and i want cse branch in mnit allhabad i had a query that will internal sliding by taking informtion tech. branch , be a best option for me or waitng till spot rounds to get admission in cse branch in mnit allhabad and i also want to know that genrally which option among the two proves to be best????It won't be a wise decision to wait for the spot round. Internals sliding is scheduled prior to SPOT round. So don't expect any descent branch to be available in SPOT round. Best alternative is to get into MNIT and get the desired branch in internal sliding.

What is the cost of attendance at a university in South Korea?
-Hello everyone! I am currently a soon to be freshman at a community college in Dallas,TX and I would love to know the total cost of attendance at a university in South Korea for international/transfer students like me. I would like to narrow the search to a Christian university with a diverse student body if possible. Thanks for your help !At the typical private university, a semester usually run about 3,000 - 4,000 USD. National Universities are typically between 2,000 - 3,000.
That said, with the exception of National Universities, nearly every university in the country will give at least a 50% scholarship to ALL foreign students, and in many cases, foreign students from western countries such as the US, Canada, Austrailia, the UK...etc) can get up to 100% scholarship assuming you can actually enter the university. (pass a basic level Korean language exam...etc)
At the undergrad level, there are not many options for English language instruction, so having at least a medium level of Korean language ability would be required. This is measured by taking what is known as the TOPIK exam (test of proficiency in Korean) and generally you need to pass a level 4 (mid level) exam to be admitted, although some departments may ask for a level 3 or 5. However at the graduate level, there are many more options in regards to programs that are 100% English.
The most respectable Christian Universities in Korea are Sejong University and SunKyunKwan University. Both of these schools are regarded as good universities and both are among the only 6 universities in Korea that carry any type of internationally recognized accreditation (AACSB accreditation for Business related degrees and MBA's)
Aside from the in-school scholarships I mentioned above, the Korean government runs a scholarship program through an organization called NIIED (National Institute for International Educational Development) If by chance you can be a part of this program, you would be set because participants in that program get paid airfare to Korea, full scholarship to study Korean in a university program until they can pass the level 4 TOPIK and enter the university as a regular student, full tuition as regular university student is paid, medical insurance, and about 800 USD per month as a living stipend.

Good luck.

US degree vs. a UK degree?
-I am considering the option of moving to the UK. I am currently a student at an american university (majoring in finance) but Im hesitant about giving up a degree from here for one from the UK. do you think this is a good or bad idea? and why? or if you have gone through a similar situation what would you suggest? Iam also a European citizen. thanks in advanceHi! If you have the funds are are ready to deal with the change then go for it. Life here is not easy. You'll be better off earning in pounds but you'd be better off spending in dollars. But as you say you are an EU citizen then you have more rights here in the UK than us poor immigrants. Haha.
I think the most important factor in your decision should be where you think you will spend the majority of your working life. That is where you should receive your degree from, in an ideal world.

I want to study in uk..and i have scholarship too,but i don't know what to do after studies??PSW is finished:(?
-You can get a part time job, just to get some experience. You can also go travelling around the world, meet different people and get some new friends. There are lots of things to do, don't worry about it right now, you will know what to do once you are nearer to the time.I'm afraid you would probably have to go home if you don't have a work visa, being a student in the UK does not entitle you to stay after your studies have finished.
Well you could go home. A study visa is to study not to emmigrate

LA Spanish Consulate Spain Student Visa Apostille?
-Does anyone know if the LA consulate will accept an Apostille on FBI background reports from the Secretary of State office in LA?
Or does the apostile HAVE to be from the Department of State in DC? I hope not, because my appointment in is a month. I have the background check back, but not the Apostile! yipes! You may notarize and apostille the document in LA but you have to be very careful on how to notarize it. The document may be apostilled in DC only if it bears an official signature that can be apostilled over there, double check with the US Department of State offices.

Questions about being an exchange student to Germany?
-So I would love to be an exchange student in Germany for my sophomore year, which is approaching this year. I have LOADS of questions I can't really find anywhere else and I'm nervous about if I'm ready or not.
1. I have heard High School in Germany is a lot harder and I'm really nervous about whether or not I'll be able handle it. I have a 3.7 GPA and my worst subject is definitively math, which I have a C in. Would I be able to handle German High school? Can you explain how I can do well in a German High School!!
2. I don't know any German and I was wondering if there are any programs that allow me to be able to go to Germany without knowing German. (please list some if you know of any)
3. Are Germans racist towards minorities because I'm scared about that... I have no idea
4. Is it hard to get accepted into a program if you don't know German?
5. What are some other great places to go other than Germany?
Thanks guys, I'm mostly scared about the academic part! So can someone really explain that part? It would be helpful to know how to stay on top of school work in Germany!
Thanks so much!!!!Hi,
1. German High School is harder than e.g. US public high school, but you don't go there to collect credits, so what does it matter?
2. Everyone in Germany speaks English (more or less at least), but some fundamental German for starters would be helpful: best you come a few weeks, like 6 - 8 weeks before school starts to learn the language. Start with a CD set for self-learning.
=> I can only recommend www.best-student-exchange.com as the best of all foreign exchange student programs for high school students, because it is low cost, like an easy flat fee, and you can choose many families to live with in many countries
3. Germans were racists 70 years ago - they learned their lesson
4. Austria and Switzerland are very nice too, but they don't speak the "regular German"

Hope this helps...I tried applying to unis in france and spain (am tri-lingual) and uk unis were by far a lot better academically and applying, and also of course beacuse you can get funding/a loan!!!

-I want to do chemical engineering. i live in Louisiana right now. how much will be the total cost of everything per year (tuition, room & board, books, etc) should i live on campus or off. which would be cheaper. thank you so much! : )Out-of-state tuition and fees: $35,341

Transportation expense (living at home): $1,960

Many colleges require all freshman to live on campus in a dorm.
California State schools accept very few out of state students.
Go to their website.

I'm guessing, if you don't know that much, you aren't ready for Berkeley.
Five dollars and forty-five cents.

Which University Degree impresses more?
-The University of British Columbia or
UCLA?UCLA.
American universities are the best in the world.
BC is just a public Uni in Canada...Among Canadian universities, McGill in Montreal and the University of Toronto have the most prestige and greatest name recognition both in Canada and internationally. UCLA does rate above UBC on various measures by various raters.
Beyond those generalities, you have to investigate by department since various departments can have somewhat different ratings. For example, if you want to go into film, UCLA is the world's Number One, but it is certainly not the world's number one in everything! For math, certain sciences, etc, MIT beats UCLA by a mile despite UCLA's excellent reputation in those fields.
LOL! They're both impressive. I'd think more people in the USA would be impressed with UCLA. If you say you went to UBC they'd say 'Wow, so you're from Canada? Cool!' 8^) OTOH if you told people you went to McGill, they wouldn't know where that was. And it's a much more prestigious school!
it depend on what major u go into

Study Arabic & Quran abroad?
-I was recently declined to study in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia due to age, however someone from Turkey said I could study there.
I was considering Morocco; but with the unrest in the Arab world and my being an American convert to Islam I am hesitant to go to some nations. Any suggestions please? Not Morocco, they speak a "strange" dialect of Arabic that is the least understood of all the Arab countries. Most Moroccans that I've met also do not have a good understanding of Islam. EGYPT has the most widely understood Arabic dialect and famous Islamic schools. I would also recommend JORDAN or Lebanon. Why would someone Recommend Turkey? No doubt it is a beautiful country and certainly one of my favorites in the world, but they speak Turkish (not Arabic) and it's a secular country...a bit extreme to the point where women cannot wear headscarves in universities or government buildings and practicing Muslims are almost feared. It may be different in smaller towns and villages...I've only been to the big cities. Thank Allah that Saudi Arabia turned you down, their version of Islam is Wahabiism. Still, I understand your desire to study in the land of the prophet, that would be awesome...but they might try to brainwash you. LOL. Oman might also be a country worth considering.http://www.studyabroad.com/programs/inte鈥?/a>
I was considering Morocco; but with the unrest in the Arab world and my being an American convert to Islam I am hesitant to go to some nations. If I am a 11th grade student in foreign country , what's the way to spend my senior year in USA ?
-Just study and pass.Foreign exchange program?
Check into AFS, ATAD/YFU, Rotary. They invite people to the US, as well as sending and placing students in foreign countries. Oh! And the Sister City program. Does your city have a sister in the US? THAT would be a likely option.
What state are you coming to? Some if not all schools have senior trips. Do sports, visit our amusement parks. (I love Disneyland-California and Disney World-Florida) Hope you have an amazing time here! :)

Where should I go on foreign exchange to?!?
-Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey
my favorites are: Sweden, Norway, ITALY!! :), Belgium.... idk!
haha, thanks! :)I did a study abroad to Norway and it was absolutely the best time of my life. I would definitely recommend going there. Its great if you don't have any foreign language experience because most Norwegians, especially the younger ones speak English. It is gorgeous there. People say Norwegians are cold, but I think that they are just not super outgoing. They will talk to you, but will not go out of their way to make a lot of conversation with strangers.Argentina - I don't know enough about this country
Australia - They speak English ;)
Belgium - I don't know enough about this country
Brazil - I don't know enough about this country
Ecuador - I don't know enough about this country
France - Fun country, go for it. High prices, from what I've experienced.
Germany - Fun language and country, go for it!
Hungary - I don't know enough about this country
Italy - I like the cars.
Japan - My personal favourite... Most intriguing and fun culture! I absolutely LOVE the language!
Norway - Just like all Scandinavian countries plus Iceland, really, really, good below University schools.
Sweden - Same as above
Taiwan - Chinese Traditional is a very complex writing system and Mandarin Chinese is a very hard language to learn, but if you're up for it, go for it.
Thailand - Home of the "Shiny Green Suit" (haha, I got that from the movie "Good Morning, Veitnam!"). The most BEAUTIFUL script for their language, in my opinion.
Turkey - I don't know enough about this country.
Taiwan is probably the nicest, most vibrant place on the planet right now. I travel there often and it is just a great place. One word of advice- if you don't like weird food (fried rat, fried chicken feet, eel) then this isn't the place for you... they do have hundreds of KFC's and 7-11s, and is the only place on earth where McDonalds delivers!
Weird mix!
Have you been studying a language? Choose one where you can practice it.
Do you have some other reason? Family background? History? find a REASON for what you want.
i had a friend that went to spain said he loved it,but if i used your list i would go to germany or south africa
italy... hot guys hehe :) and the best food

Is spanish a tough language to learn?
-It's an easier language to learn than say, Finnish. But it's not easy, easy. It will take years of study for fluency in non-native speakers.Spanish is supposedly one of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn.
English is an unusual mix of Germanic and Romantic (Latin derived) language (Spanish is a more Romantic language, like most of south-western Europe).
Modern German is probably the easiest language to learn for an English speaker, given the roots of modern English.
Spanish is an extremely useful and easy language to learn, and knowing it will open the door to many opportunities in the future. Start learning today with one-on-one, online classes with a native instructor at www.webspanish.com and you won't regret it. Or try watching free mini Spanish lessons at spanish-lessons.webspanish.com and learn the basics today.
Spanish is a very straight forward language to learn. And since most its word are similar to English it'll be a lot easier for you to learn it.
It's actually one of the easiest, many of the words are the same or similar to english words, conjugations are very basic, there are few exceptions and since it's so common you can easily get help from native speakers, or online.
No, by my perspective, it's the second easiest. Esperanto is by far the easiest.
No.
What does this have to do with study abroad?
Unless you're going to study Spanish in a Spanish country...which is even easier.

Foreign exchange student?
-Are there any programs that take kids younger than 14 to Asian countries, or any at all. I really want to study abrod but most programs you have to be a sophomore in high school or older. Do you know of anything that would set up a 13 or 14 year old for a full school year?
Can a Suspended Student Study Abroad?
-Can a student temporarily suspended from a university study abroad during that time, and return to the university thereafter? Does the program have to be outside of the university, or can it have been set up through the university, since the university abroad is a separate entity?errrrrrrr, no.
You must be in good standing with your home university in order for them to "sponsor" you to represent them.
I don't understand the second question.

Help with studying and exam tips? please?
-I have huge exams coming up soon which will determine weather I pass the year or not. The problem is I get all my answers right in my school work but when it comes to exams I freak out and forget everything all the maths rules and everything no matter how much I seem to study. Do you have any tips that could help me?Start by paying attention to the details. You know, like knowing the difference between STUDYING ABROAD, and study skills.
then learn simple things like the difference between "weather" (what the sky is doing) and "whether" (or not).

Study abroad Australia advice- the stuff students ACTUALLY care about...?
-So I'm planning on going abroad for the second semester of my third year in college. Australia is the country in mind, and the institution would be QUT in Brisbane. Basically I'm interested in the information not commonly displayed on university websites and study abroad brochures.
Let's get to it:
* bar/party scene/nightlife - going to school at SJSU so pretty much anything would be considered an upgrade
* things to do in Brisbane or the immediate area (things college students actually want to do; not museums of art and other brochure crap)
* laws I should be aware of - not tryin' to end up like those people on Locked Up Abroad
* Ganja, and the things I should know about it in regards to Australia and Brisbane. Availability, quality, prices, the attitude towards the stuff (socially as well as legally)
Any other common sense things you think I should know before going. Like if you've been, all the things that when you got there you were like "ohh damn, how did I not anticipate this?"Before I went to study in Australia, I wondered some very similar things (although not about the drugs!) and all I could find was the boring advice in brochures and stuff. Then I got chatting in a forum and someone pointed me in the direction of http://www.studylane.com.au which is actually run by someone just like us who went to study in Oz but felt there was a gap of people providing helpful info like this!
He's now got other former and current students advising on a new social network forum as well I noticed this week (http://www.studylane.com.au/social/forum鈥?/a> so not only can you ask your questions in there, but make sure you enrol at QUT THROUGH studylane, coz then they give you loads of great free stuff, help paying for your textbooks, application help etc, it was awesome :-)
Good luck and enjoy Brisbane, it's so cool!
xGanja is illegal and possessing even a single quantity will result in a charge (and on a student visa possibly sent home). QUT is right in the city and the city is where they have (evenings and on w.e) drug sniffing dogs roaming the streets and train stations. So that side of things will have to put on hold for the term.
To have a Qld experience you will have to get into NRL - especially the state of origin (hint - you hate NSW).

I hav completed my BE degree but Having Arrear..Can i do MBA w/o clearing arrrears?
-Pay your bills first. You cannot even get a transcript without paying your debts first. Therefore, you cannot even apply to grad school before your bills are paid in full.no there is no possibility for that.

I wanna do mtech from abroad rather than in india is it cheap, very costly or average financially?
-It all depends on which country you go to and the length of the course you want to study. There may be some cheap options out there for you - try doing a personalised course search here http://www.studylane.com.au/search.php and see what it comes up with for mtechs. They also have online counselors and an online forum of experts where you can ask these questions at http://www.studylane.com.au/social/forum鈥?/a> - it worked for me :-) It will depend on your exchange rate as well, so seek advice.
Hope you have good luck too.

Being an Exchange Student in South Korea or Japan?
-I am trying to decide between these two countries because I am about to take classes for a foreign language, and I really love Japan and Korea and simply can't decide which language to learn and which country to go to on a year long exchange.
I have around two years to learn the language (I already know about half of Hiragana, I still need to learn the Katakana, Kanji, Hangul, and Hanjas).
I am going to be staying in said country for a year, during high school.
So my question is, Which country is a fun and educational country to study in?
It would also be nice if you could recommend some good exchange programs to either country, I already know about "Youth for Understanding" and "AFS Intercultural Programs" (AFS, last time I checked, only exchanged to Japan)
Thanks!I have been in Korea for more than 6 years, but I also recommend Japan. I cant really suggest any programs there, but I can tell you there there are virtually NO programs in Korea in regards to high school aged exchange students, and just from my own personal experiences in both countries I can tell you that Japan is a much more friendlier place for a foreigner than Korea (not to say that Korea is unfriendly to foreigners, only that in Japan you may find that you are accepted into the society a bit easier than in Korea)I dont know about whats better, i would chose japan but im byass because of the manga and stuff..
for programs i've done some research, thee is ISE OUTBOUND, ASSE, and well AFS and Youth or understanding, which you already know (i dont know if they go to japan or korea though)
Try the Rotary Youth Exchange. I am planing on going to Japan.

Convince my parents to let me go to boarding school.?
-I am 14 years old and although i do like my hometown and friends, i would like to go to boarding school for sophtmore junior and senior years of high school (its too late for freshan) im an excellent student straight A's honors classes and i would like to be challanged more. I have narrowed it down to a few schools with good financial aid programs and now i need to convince my parents. They are usually very supportive, but ive brought this up before and they dont really seem to keen on it. They dont realize that there are all types of baording schools not just "troubled teens" ones. How can i convince them to let me apply?First of all tell them it's what you want and you think it would be good for you. Then tell them that you've found a few schools with financial aid so it won't be too expensive for them. After that, tell them that not all boarding school are for troubled teens. Actually a lot of them are for more well-educated kids such as yourself. List off good reasons for letting you go. Don't beg though! Try to use the bandwagon approach... tell them that there are lots of kids going to boarding schools these days and it's a very structural learning environment. Don't forget to tell them you want to be more challenged at school and you think going to board school would be the best way to do that. Good luck.(:

Can someone calculate my CGPA and SPGA?
-my marks in 8 semesters are
1st-672/1100
2nd-739/1100
3rd-706/1150
4th-740/1150
5th-679/1100
6th-702/1100
7th-642/950
8th-826/1050GPA is not calculated this way. US has a different education system. Which is also there in IIT's in India. depending on the marks in each subject you get a grade for that subject. Suppose you get a B in any one subject. Now B is 7 out of 10. You need to know the credits for the subject. Suppose it is 5. so multiply 5 and 7 (ie credit and grade point). Now add this for each subject and divide by the sum of all credits. This gives you your SGPA. i.e. semester GPA. CGPA is the avg of GPA for all semesters.
With the marks of only 8th sem, you can't know your CGPA anyhow. Also you need to know the credits for the subject. Which are not there in your university.
You can't compare apples and oranges, these are two different systems. Can't convert this way.

What Christian collages teach Japanese and sends students overseas?
-I want to move to Japan and teach kids English or some creative class like improv or art. I want to learn Japanese so I can speak to everyone. Does anyone know which Christian collages teaches young adults Japanese and send them to Japan? Or lets them live with Japanese citizens overseas to get the experience of life over there first hand? Please send the names and the links to the sites if you can! Thanks for anything!
Do you still have to pay the college tuition if you want to study abroad for a full academic year?
-I was just wondering if I would still have to pay my university's tuition even if I study abroad in another country for a full academic year (because that would have another load of expenses...) thanks!
